Today was a glorious sunny day, a great day to venture over to 'Les Brevieres' for a play around.
Situated the other side of Tignes, lots of people are put off going to 'Brev' as they imagine the distance to be a lot further than it actually is. In reality you can get from Val to Breviere in just one cable car ride and two chair lifts. Easy. The joys of going to 'Brev' too are the nice long runs you can float down, no stopping every few minutes to dump on another chairlift! The views too are spectacular, the water which runs in the river is always a stunning shade of blue, it really is a pleasure to board or ski down to Breviere.
This season especially the piste down to Brevieres centre is in fabulous condition, more often than not at this time of season it is looking a bit shabby with the odd brown patch or two coming through, not this year though, it still has a very healthy layer of snow covering the piste.

We did this journey when in Val a Couple of weeks ago and it was a great ski across and yes the views were tremendous.
However the main reason for our journey was lunch!! We set off in the morning skiing in Val d'Isere then skiing to Tignes and making it down into 1550 for about 14h00 - we were all starving. We had a delicious lunch taking in the Views and lapping up the sunshine..... however it is quite expensive. The main reason for going there was that it was a village and we thought it might have been slightly cheaper - oh how wrong we were!!! I would definitely go back there though it was lovely.
